omgomgomgomgomg.

I've been working on this off and on for the past three months, finally got it finished tonight. <33

Dedicated to two of my most favortablez games: MapleStory and Elite Beat Agents.

Elite Beat Agents is such a great, fun game. MapleStory's pretty great, too, and just so happens to have a character-creating program called BannedStory.

So this is my tribute to both games. <33

It includes all nine of the playable characters, and the majority of all the NPC's in EBA.

In order from left to right, the characters and their respective episodes are:

Top row: Sofie from "Cry Wolf! Meteorology and Parenting!!", Jane and Tanner from "Trio of Mayhem! Love and Boyfriends!!", Leo and "Signorina" from "Art and Beauty! Love and Hapiness!!", and Colonel Bob from "Rags to Riches! Go East Wildcatter!"

Second row: Jack from "Hey, Taxi! To the Hospital, and Hurry!!", Amanda from "Aspire! Dancing to the Limelight!!", Angelina and Thomas from "Magic Meets Madness! The Show Must Go On!", Commander Kahn of the Elite Beat Agents, Norma and Isabelle from "Survive! Celebrity Lives and Desert Isles!!", Chris from "Red Carpet Premiere! Smash Hit or Box Office Crash!!", and Capt. Brooke from "Ahoy, Mates! Sunken Delights and Adventure!!"

Third row: Hulk "The King" Bryman from "Batter Up! Home Run Hero Makes a Comeback!!", Lucy from "A Christmas Gift", Ken Ozu from "Family Honor! Introducing the Secret-Weapon Ninja!!"; Elite Beat Divas Missy, Starr and Foxx, Cap White from "NURSE!! Gold Medal Hero or Zero!!", and Jake from "The Last Laugh! Just a Peanut Matter!!"

WOW. That's a LOT. The four stages I didn't use characters from are "A Pug's Life! 400 Miles from Home!!" whose main character was Sam the pug; "Here, Kitty, Kitty! Baby Hijinks!!" whose main character was Max the cat; "No More Music!? The Last Hope!!" (two parts) were the boss rounds, and incorporated all of the previous NPC's, so yeah. ^^

EBA really is a great game, as is it's Japanese predecessor Osu! Tatakae! Oendan! (OTO) and OTO's sequel Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Oendan! (OTO2).

Very fun, and provide hours upon hours of entertainment. You can pick any of them up and not be bored with them for quite some time. Good time-filler, too. XD Includes some GREAT songs like "Y.M.C.A.," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Survivor," "Anthem" (Good Charolette), and "You're the Inspiration." My personal fav is "Canned Heat" by Jamoroquai (sp? don't hold me on this one), the Ninja one. xD

I'd like to say I'm skilled at this game. All S-Ranks (highest rank on any song, generally difficult to get (especially the harder levels in the game)) in Hard ROCK! and Sweatin' modes (Insane and Hard).

OTO2 > EBA > OTO

But they're all good. OTO2 is MUCH harder than EBA, and it's a bit more interesting. OTO is kinda dull, but has a few good songs (like "READY STEADY GO," "Shanghai Honey" and "Kokoro Odoru"). OTO2 has crazy, crazy fun songs (like "COUNTDOWN," "Sekai wa Sore o Ai to Yobun da ze," "Music Hour," and "Zoku").

If you have a DS and like rhythm-based games, go buy EBA. Then find some way to either legally or illegally obtain OTO and OTO2. Your choice. XD

Edited the crap outta it with MS Paint (8-10 hours spent)

And it took an hour to write all this up. Yay me.

Wow, you've really done a fantastic job. I applaud you for throwing in as many of NPCs in as you have, I could name them all without having to look at the list; that probably says a lot about my geeking, but the point is they're all recognisable. <3 Your version of Ken Ozu is absolutely adoreable might I add. Well done~ Keep it up.

Thanks so much. ;D And that's what I was aiming for - I sat in front of BannedStory/Paint with my DS plugged in, open, and on each particular stage for each character, first to get a basis of what they looked like, then for all the details.

Some of the characters I spent the most time on were Tanner (there was a football uniform available, but it was plain blue and white with only a '00' in the front - I manually recolored it and added the 16), Hulk (Uniform was red, white, and blue, with a 00 on the back and no writing above it, I added the 20 and a bunch of pixels to make it look like it could possibly look like Bryman) and Jake (I recolored the gun, modified it slightly, added the peanut can and changed his shirt color).

And thanks about Ken Ozu. <33 He was one of the first, and hardest characters. His suit was the right color, but his hat was the wrong color, design, and shape. >_> I had to redo his gloves as well and tinker with quite a few things. XD

The only character that had NO modifications was Lucy. Jack and Jane only required slight hair color modifications which was done in BannedStory, and those were the ONLY THREE that required little effort.

YAY EBA =D I love that game. OTO 2 is definetly much funner and challenging than EBA, though.

I actually consider EBA and OTO2 to be relatively equal in fun-ness, it's just OTO2 is crazier. ._. LOVE Zuko and COUNTDOWN and VISTA on that game. XD

And I would have had to pretty much entirely redo the bse that they have for cats since it's really fugly... that and for Sam the pug, too, so I was like... screw that.
