Alright, so I feel that I kind of outgrew my not-really-a-fox-at-all "fire fennec fox" fursona, and I'd been wanting to make a new one for some time now.

About a month ago, I finally settled on my new fursona being a Coyote, which might sound like "different dog, big deal" but really... I wanted it to actually be a coyote. As in, you could actually tell it was a coyote.

Why a coyote? For one, they're actually native around here (not really a criteria, but whatever). Typically speaking, they hunt alone or in pairs but often live in small packs. Now, with the pressure of human civilization intruding on what used to be wolf territory, coyotes have filled the remaining biological niche and become more nocturnal. Coyotes hunt, coyotes scavenge, coyotes are opportunists. They're clever and they're much better at observational learning than the domesticated dog. Coyotes adapt and move on as their environments change.

I still really liked the blue color of my fursona, but I've changed the coloring for my new fursona. My fursona is still a pyro, for anyone who cares, but now in cool blue with a blood red stripe down each side ending in a "fire shape" at the tail. Piercing yellow eyes and a white/pale violet underbelly.

I'm also working on the anthropomorphed version of my fursona (beware of a crazy outfit and crazier hair). I will probably rarely show my fursona as a quad, but you never know. *shrug*

So yeah. There it is. Potential new fursona.
