UPDATE 1: Added Nidoking, Nidoqueen and Flygon
UPDATE 2: Added Altaria, Charizard and Houndoom

So I started doing trainer/pokemon "anthro" splices last semester. They're fun. If there are any spriters out there that would like to see my method of splicing these in a tutorial-styled fashion, just let me know.

Just some splices I've been working on... 7 of these are old (those on Tynri have seen 'em), but I finished the Raikou (last night) and the Entei (this morning) so I decided to go ahead and post 'em.

There's a lot more I'd like to do (including Altaria, Houndoom and Rapidash just to name a few), and I'll probably keep adding to this list by multiples of three (because I'm OCD, but you love me anyways.

Shown in alphabetical order. I flipped a few so they would look as if they were interacting with their neighbor or something.

I know, Entei looks really weird. Just... ignore him.

Are there any pokemon you'd like to see me do? Just suggest, and I'll tell you if I plan on doing those and perhaps, if they would be an interesting anthro, I'll let you know if I start one of yours.

These are a LOT more complicated than they look. Anywhere from 25-75% of each sprite are scratched. I use a trainer as a base, yes, but I have to reshade pretty much everything (typically except for hands) and taper the outline to remove any hint of clothing. For most of these, I've pretty much found that you can't just "slap a tail" on it, and definitely for all of these you can't put the pokemon's head directly on the body because they are much too big. And, since I'm working in paint, I can't really shrink the image. So I have to manually squish the sprite, then redo the outline and reshade everything. Some sprites have parts from 4 different sprites total (2 trainer sprites, 2 pokemon sprites [usually FRLG and DP]).

They're fun, though. I'm enjoying making these.

Pokémorphs, but those are usually either: trainers who can do a full transformation to a pokémon, or trainers who are part a pokémon and usually have the ears, tail, wings, horns, et cetera of that pokémon.

I'd prefer to call mine pokéanthros. Or something. Cause I sure wouldn't want to see one of those training other pokémon.

You did a really good job on these. (Yes, I remember the ones you showed on Tynri^^. ) I have to admit, I can't shade very well, so I don't know if I'll ever try this. But it does look fun^^.

Well, you could always like... do anthros not in UTN, so basically all you have to do is recolor their skin, their clothes and then reshade/mix the face (faces are the hardest part tho, especially for ones like Raikou and Entei with a bajillion little details on their face). Add on some wings, a tail, recolor in markings and there ya go! =D

omfg, I know which sprites are based on which human counterpart!

Articuno was Wynona, Entei was Brawly, Mightyena was Flannery, and I think that Zapdos was Wattson.

...well, I tired to guess.

I only recognize those poses from 600+ hours of playing Pokemon Ruby&Emerald versions. 8B -nerd- You did an amazing job; I want to hug them.
