So the Pokemon Company/Game Freak...
in my opinion...
they have redeemed themselves fully.
I want to go through a more thorough reflection on the brand new released 156 pokemon, but for now I have to sleep so I will tomorrow.
Thank you, Pokemon, for restoring my faith in you <3

I've been uber compelled to talk about each 5th gen pokemon (family), so I will! Here we go!
494 - Victini: Nothing really to say about this one, actually. xD I like it, good typing, good enough. Interesting that they have this legendary as Isshu no. 0, though, but other than that...
495-497 - Tsutarja, Janobii, Jaroda: Grass starters, freaking amazing. This will be my starter once I get Black; definitely interested in the fact that it's a fast, defensive pokemon.
498-500 - Pokabu, Chaobuu, Emboar: Fire starters, Pokabu is cute and has much potential which is quickly ruined by its evolutions. Once more, the Pokemon company has pulled a Fire/Fighting type out on us, and with it some quite hideous fire starters. This, in my opinion, is the 5th gen's greatest failure.
501-503 - Mijumaru, Futachimaru, Daikenki: Water starters, aside from the fact I think Mijumaru looks like regurgitated clown dung, the mid and final evolutions are actually pretty awesome. It's a bit unfortunate they didn't give Daikenki a dual type, but it's alright overall.
504-505 - Minezumi, Miruhoggu: The new Rattata/Sentret/Zigzagoon family, but not bad on the whole. Nothing to complain about, really; meerkats make for the right spot on the list.
506-508 - Yooterii, Haderia, Muurando: Definitely an interesting twist on the dog pokemon, Yorkies! Won't be one for my team, but they still make me chuckle.
509-510 - Choroneko, Reparudasu: I like these guys, they are definitely on my stand-in list for while I'm waiting to get some of my other pokemon in the later game.
511-516 - Yanappu, Yanakki, Boappu, Boakki, Hiyappu, Hiyakki: Haven't quite made up my mind on these. I think I may be somewhat scarred by Chimchar, but at the same time, another Grass > Fire > Water round seems a bit... redundant. They're not bad, they're really not, and this is where all the old methods of evolving pokemon come back in: Evolution Stones. Awesome. Although I will give them that you look at these guys, and the only thing you can say is "Yep, those are pokemon"
517-518 - Munna, Musharna: Eh, not the greatest, but they're really not that bad in consideration that more or less they're like the doomchild of a Drowzee and a Jigglypuff. Makes sense to me!
519-521 - Mamepato, Hatooboo, Kenhorou: I love these guys. I loved them ever since Mamepato was released because, well... there haven't been pigeon pokemon yet! (No, pidgey was NOT a pigeon!) And then they take it from pigeon to some kind of Quetzalcoatl type of exotic bird and that's just AWESOME. May or may not pick one of these up on the fly while awaiting the bigger and better. Who knows, I might just fall in love with one (lawls)
522-523 - Shimama, Zeburaika: Okay, so, I don't know Japanese, but I'm pretty sure Zeburaika translates to something of the effect of
Zebra Thunder!!!!! and come on, how can that not be just freaking awesome? Cool guys, kind of like a electric, Africanized Rapidash family.
524-526 - Dangoro, Gantoru, Gigaiasu: One thing that this gen definitely
did right was their inanimate object type pokemon. Geodes/rock crystal structure pokemon? Awesomely done. Also make note that the simple, unaided trade for third evolution has made it's grand return, accompanying the basic evolution stones. (plus 'Dangoro' is fun to say)
527-528 - Koromori, Kokoromori: So I was... disappointed when I first saw Koromori because it was just... bizarre, but I have now fallen in love with Kokoromori and it will be on my team at least temporarily <3 I mean, a real bat pokemon... awesome. Psychic/Flying makes it more awesome. With a cute little heart and everything. Oh no, I think it might have me under its spell! (P.S. It's the Courting Pokemon ;] )
529-530 - Moguryuu, Doryuzuu: The Sandslash family of 5th gen, but actually pretty awesome. They look awesome and have quite the attack stat for a pokemon acquired (presumably) early on in the game. Looking for a hard-hitting ground type? Seems like it might be worthwhile.
531 - Tabunne: The first standard standalone pokemon, normal type. I'm not all that great with strategic battling yet, so I'm not sure if this has potential or not. If I had to guess, I'd say skip out on it for the main game, though it seems like there might be something a bit more to it.
532-534 - Dokkora, Dotekkotsu, Roopushin: The Machop family of 5th gen, and again the trade for the final evo. Personally, I like the first and third evos alright, but the middle evo is... kind of creepy. And Roopushin is fun to say.
535-537 - Otamaru, Gamagaru, Gamageroge: I like these guys
Again, middle evo is weirdly creepy, but first evo is cute and last one looks like what Politoed should have freaking been. Of course, Water/Ground is a good typing, so it's undoubtedly good for something (however my plans for a water pokemon lie elsewhere...)
538-539 - Nageki, Dageki (not related by evolution): HP and Attack counterparts, respectively. Kind of like Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee, I guess, but more or less... pretty basic. Personally, I like Dageki better because he's blue xD
540-542 - Kurumiru, Kurumayu, Hahakurimo: We all know that Bug/Grass types are absolutely horrendous, so why not give it another shot? I really don't have much to say, looks nice but seems it would be rather frail.
543-545 - Fushide, Hoiiga, Pendoraa: One thing about this gen is that it is exceedingly Bug-type heavy, but you know what? I like that. Bug types really are underrated and underused, when it is a pretty good typing but has lacked good pokemon to be used much beyond Heracross, Scizor and Yanmega. But Pendoraa... oh my word I love this one. It doesn't have the greatest stats, but it's freaking awesome and I think if done right could pack a pretty devastating punch. Pendoraa will be on my team, however if it proves to be more burdensome than its worth, I have another bug to replace it...
546-547 - Monmen, Erufuun: The Deep South Pokemon, no just kidding. Cotton plant pokemon that are... actually quite representative of an actual cotton plant. Weird. But cool. Nothing really special, though. (Black only)
548-549 - Churine, Doredia: The Southern Belle Pokemon, no just kidding again- hey wait a minute! ... Weird. Alright. Something between a Roserade and Bellossom. Simple, basic, exclusive to White. Uh, wait, that makes things much more suspicious...
550 - Basurao: Fish! With two forms! Exciting!
551-553 - Meguroko, Warubiru, Warubiaru: These guys are FRICKIN AMAZING. Like Totodile Family meets freaking... I don't know... Donkey Kong? Seriously, I think of Donkey Kong or something when I see these guys, but they are AWESOME. And Ground/Dark = Cool typing. Awesome. Love them and Warubiaru most certainly has my Earthquake bitch slot <3 But I'd better not talk about him like that because he'd certainly play a lot bigger, more awesome role
More African Pokemon ftw!
554-555 - Darumakka, Hihidaruma: Not a fan, but I'm guessing they play an actually integral role in the whole Dream world business as Hihidaruma is the only pokemon to change types and sprites in the Dream World.
556 - Marakacchi: Omgg I love this thing. First of all, awesome cactus in bloom incarnation, and even awesomer name pun (even in Japanese). Okay say it. Now, say 'Mariachi.' Eh, ehh?
557-558 - Ishizumai, Iwaperesu: I like these guys. Hermit crab pokemon is adorable. Sandstone hermit crab is oddly awesome. But hermit crab ftw.
559-560 - Zuruggu, Zuruzukin: Not actually sure what these guys are supposed to be, umm... salamanders, maybe? But they make me giggle either way. Their faces amuse me... And they seem to make good Sp./Defense walls, too.
561 - Shinpora: This thing is awesome. I have no idea what the crap it is but I like, albeit not enough to use it.
562-563 - Desumasu, Desukan: So at first I didn't like the sarcophagus, but now I think it's awesome. I mean, freaking shiny sarcophagus ghost on the prowl! Look out! Tut demands his pokes! Oh yeah, and it's Ghost type, another odd type they went heavy on in this gen.
564-565 - Purotooga, Abagoora: We've reached the fossil pokemon of Gen 5... and I must say these are by far my favorite fossil pokemon ever, just barely nudging Kabutops and Aerodactyl out. Just barely. As for Abagoora, as a Rock/Water type it has most certainly earned the Water pokemon slot on my team, and it if it weren't for that it would have been a severely difficult choice between the other fossils...
566-567 - Aaken, Aakeosu: These guys beat Aerodactyl by a landslide for me. I mean, comeon, a dodo-ish pokemon and a freaking Caudipteryx!! How freaking awesome. I did need the Water slot filled more, though, but if I ever start with Mijumaru... you can bet I'm getting myself an Aakeosu. Freaking awesome, crazy attack and speed. Love em both, hard choice overall.
568-569 - Yabakuron, Dastodasu: Garbage pokemon. Nice. At first I was repulsed but I oddly like them alright. Interesting concept done right, which is a HUGE change from the majority of Gen 4. Nothing much else to say xD
570-571 - Zorua, Zoroark: The original gen 5 pokemon, and what more can be said about them that hasn't already been said? xD They are actually pretty awesome, and seem like they've got a good concept behind them backed up pretty well. So we'll see.
(will finish later, have to go do stuff now.)
